Toshiba to start selling 8 GB high-speed SD cards
Japanese tech giant Toshiba has confirmed that they are going to start selling 8GB high speed SD cards starting early next year.
These cards would support the “class 4” high-speed data writing specification of the SD Card Association.
Toshiba claims that these cards would be able to record at around 6 MB per second and these would be suitable for applications such as video recording.
At this capacity, the card would be able to hold around 3 hours worth of high definition video. This card would be sold in the Japanese market for around ¥40,000 (US$340). Toshiba also plans to sell it in American and European markets.
