Apple iPod continues to remain more about music than videos
Apple might have launched the video playing iPod in the market. They might be now selling movies on their Apple iTunes store. However, research has shown that Apple iPod continues to remain more about music than video.
Nielsen Media Research recently conducted a survey and they found that most users spend the majority of their time using the player as a digital music player rather than watching videos on it.
However, this is pretty much guessable as you can work, travel, or conduct other activities while listening to music. Watching video requires you to look at the iPod.
The research also concluded that 2.2 per cent of the content items played by iPod video users is video. And iPod Video owners spend 11 per cent of playback time watching video on the device. They also found out that about 13 per cent of US households own at least one iPod.
