Opera Software and SlipStream Data to provide integrated Browser Solutions
Opera Browser is already a pretty fast browser. The company claims it to be the fastest browser available in the market. Now they are going one-step ahead. They are getting in collaboration with SlipStream Data and integrating their technology in the upcoming upgrade to their browser version 7.60.
As per the Press Release:
SlipStream is the defacto standard in the accelerated dial-up market, with over 900 ISP Partners worldwide. The company’s sophisticated acceleration technologies compress, optimize, and streamline Web content and e-mails, providing a dramatic improvement in access speeds over any network. SlipStream SP gives service providers a fast and flexible way of rolling out value-added services that ultimately reduce subscriber churn by offering a more fulfilling online experience. SlipStream SE (Secure Enterprise) optimizes bandwidth and improves the performance of Web-based applications, accelerating secure access to e-mails, FTP, and other critical business data.
The integration would mean that more users would get easy accessibility to the technologies provided by SlipStream to their ISPs and for Opera it would mean an addition to the already full arsenal of feature set.
Opera Browser 7.60 is currently running in Preview 2 and also incorporates IBM Speech Technology.
