Freedom Wireless sues five wireless carriers and services providers
Wireless technology company Freedom Wireless has said in a statement that they are suing as many as five companies for infringing on their copyrights.
These five wireless carriers and service providers include big names like Cingular Wireless and Ericsson.
Freedom Wireless has filed two patent infringement lawsuits in federal court in Texas against Cingular and Ericsson Inc. In addition, they have also filed another lawsuit, which is targeting Alltel, Comverse and VeriSign.
Incidentally, Cingular Wireless and Ericsson have already filed a lawsuit against Freedom claiming that their patents are invalid. Cingular representative Rochelle Cohen spoke about this latest round of lawsuits: “We believe the lawsuit has no merit. We plan to request that Freedom’s lawsuit be transferred to where litigation is already underway.”
