South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched a new mobile phone device named Samsung Ultra Messaging i600.
This phone has been developed in collaboration with software giant Microsoft and this is the first device of its kind to support high-speed HSDPA wireless technology to be launched in Asia and Europe.
The two companies said that the phone is the world’s thinnest 3G Smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard and supports podcasts and RSS Feeder.
Microsoft and Samsung launched this product at the ITU Telecom World 2006 being held in Hong Kong. The companies further said that the phone can connect with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 and it features two digital cameras and can be used for 3G video calls.
Pieter Knook, a senior vice president at Microsoft added: “The mobile population is increasingly looking to use one device that easily plugs into their life, both in and out of the office.”
