Baidu.com to enter Japan web market next year
The dominating internet company in china Baidu.com has said that they are aiming to enter another high profile internet market Japan sometime next year.
The company announced their plans to launch a Japanese language version yesterday. Baidu CEO Robin Li said in a statement that they have already spent more than six months on research into building Japanese-language search technology.
They already power the most popular Chinese language search engine and are easily dominating global giants Google and Yahoo! in the domestic market.
Robin Li spoke on their plans: “We are confident that Japan’s search engine users will appreciate Baidu’s powerful Japanese language search technology that will offer a user-friendly alternative to existing search engines.”
