Fujitsu launches 300GB hard disks for notebooks
Fujitsu has announced a 300 GB hard disk designed for us in notebooks and video recorders.
The company claims that this is the largest hard disk of its kind made for portable computers.
This 300 GB drive features a serial ATA interface and offer 50% more capacity compared to currently available products from the company for notebooks.
There are drives available for notebooks which offer more capacity but they are typically larger and have slower interfaces.
The company aims to make these drives available in the retail market by February next year. They are hoping to sell 1.5 million units during the next fiscal year.
