Majority of online US homes have broadband connectivity
Market research firm Nielsen/NetRatings has said that more than three in four U.S. home Internet users used broadband connections to access the Web.
These statistics are for the month of November and are a huge improvement compared to last year.
The study also found out that gaming, instant messaging, e-mail and social networking were the most popular online activities for web users in the country.
The firm said that this number was 13% higher than in November last year. In November last year, 65% of the web users had broadband connectivity.
Another statistic reveals that broadband users accounted for 82% of all the time home users spent on the Web last month. These users also visited twice the number of pages visited by users on slower connections.
