Google to become a domain registrar!
Search engine giant Google would enter the domain registration market. The company aims to encourage their users to get their own domains and use their services to have a wider presence on the net.
Google would be working in collaboration with leading domain registration companies on the web including GoDaddy and eNom.
They plan to charge USD 10 per year for this service and would be offering four suffixes — “.com,” “.net,” “.biz” and “.info.”
The benefit of using Google’s services would be ease of integration with several other company products, including e-mail, calendaring and instant messaging.
They would not be preventing the users to combine competing services provided by MSN, Yahoo or AOL with their domains booked with Google.
