South Korea wants to check mobile phone usage by teens
The South Korean government has said that they would make rules to help teenagers control their mobile phone bills.
With this, parents would get the power to control how much their kids can use their mobile devices.
A Telecommunications Ministry official said that soon kids would require parental permission to use the mobile services beyond a set limit of charges. This limit is expected to be set at 30,000 won a month.
In addition, mobile services would also be told to provide information about the cell phone usage to the parents.
A ministry representative said in a statement: “The ministry hopes these regulations will prevent teenagers from making a lot of mistakes about how they use their mobile phones, which can lead to mounting bills.”
