eMusic reports its 100 millionth digital music download
Digital music store eMusic has revealed that they have now registered more than 100 million songs from their service.
This milestone was achieved after around three years of operations but is no where near the sales achieved by Apple iTunes store.
Apple managed to sell more than a billion songs in around same time of operating on the web.
However, the popularity of the eMusic store proves that consumers would prefer to get their music in unrestricted MP3 format compared to DRM infested files sold from other stores.
EMusic added in a statement that they have more than 220,000 subscribers.
