Google launches Google Patent Search engine beta
It’s been sometime that Google launched a new specialized search engine service. We now have a new one from the search engine giant.
Google has launched a special search engine named Google Patent Search. As usual, this search engine is in beta stage right now.
This search engine lets anyone search for U.S. patents by keyword, patent number, inventor and filing date. Users would also be able to look at related images and zoom in on pages.
To make the things interesting for the web users, the search homepage would randomly pick five random patents each time the page is visited.
Google added that this search engine uses a number of different signals to evaluate how relevant each patent is to a user’s query and then determines results with an algorithm. The search engine covers 7 million patents but does not yet include patents issued in the past few months. This should be fixed in the coming months.
