Gartner says that Blogging would see its peak next year
Blogging has become one of the most popular online activities for many web users. Now, market research firm Gartner has said that blogging is expected to see a peak sometime next year.
This forecast related to blogs is one of the Gartner’s top 10 predictions for 2007.
Gartner has also speculated that the number of active bloggers will level off in the first half of next year at roughly 100 million worldwide.
Blog search engine Technorati has said in another report that they are seeing a slowdown in the number of new blogs appearing on the net. As per Technorati, the number of tracked blogs is now only doubling once every seven-and-a-half months or so.
Chief Gartner fellow Daryl Plummer said in a statement: “A lot of people have been in and out of this thing. Everyone thinks they have something to say, until they’re put on stage and asked to say it.”
