ComScore claims Google has more user visits compared to Yahoo!
Industry tracker ComScore has claimed in a report that search engine giant Google has now overtaken internet giants Yahoo! in terms of user visits to their website.
Interestingly, Microsoft continues to head the table as per their reports. In comparison Alexa rankings place Yahoo! at the top of the table.
ComScore said that more than 736 million people around the world went online last month and out of them 475.5 million visited Google’s website. In comparison, 475.2 million visitors landed on Yahoo online properties.
Microsoft continued to dominate with their web services being visited by 501.7 million people around the world.
Google owned video sharing website YouTube was the 10th most popular website. Its hits were not added on to Google’s numbers.
This report showed that the popularity of Google websites was up nine percent from the same month a year earlier. Yahoo! gained by around five percent and Microsoft three percent.
