Google has big plans for Google Talk and Google Docs & Spreadsheets for next year
Search engine giant Google has launched some interesting products this year. However, few have changed our lives like their search engine or Gmail web mail service did.
The company now aims to enhance their existing services to make them more attractive to the web users.
Dave Girouard, vice president and general manager of Google’s enterprise division said in a statement on their plans: “We’re building towards a big future, big licensing or subscription business, and moving into a lot of other potential businesses over time.”
Google plans to enhance their Docs & Spreadsheets web application to make it more attractive to corporate customers. Girouard said: “This year has been about getting our toe in the water. [Next year] will be about taking a lot more steps forward.”
Google Talk is also expected to get some major updates this coming year. Google plans to enhance it to make it work with traditional phone systems as well as VoIP offerings from other vendors.
The company is also expected to use Orkut service to expand their presence in the Social Networking market. In addition, they just recently acquired wiki-builder Jotspot and they might have some surprises for us on this front.
