Samsung rumored to be working on a long lasting fuel cell product

Korean daily Chosun Ilbo has claimed that tech giant Samsung is working on a fuel cell product which can power electronic devices for up to a month.

The company is a leading manufacturer of mobile phones and also makes notebooks and monitors.

This fuel cell is said to be a part of a docking station that would enable a Samsung Q35 notebook run for eight hours a day, five days a week, for up to four weeks in a row.

The report said that this Samsung’s fuel cell is a 1200 watt-hour direct methanol fuel cell and it converts methanol to water to produce DC power.

Chosun Ilbo further said in their report that the company is expected to release the docking station-cum-fuel cell for mass production by the end of 2007.
