Google Blog Search the most popular Blog Search Engine

Google is the web’s most popular web search service. However, the company has many other services which find few users.

One of these services was the Blog Search Engine which Google had launched a couple of months ago. Till sometime back, this search engine was little used feature considering it was hard to find from the Google’s own homepage.

However, the company made a little change and added a link to the Blog Search from its main page. And just this tweak seems to have helped the Google Blog Search become the most popular service of its type as per data made available by Hitwise.

Google Blog Search’s market share jumped to the market-leading 25% recorded last week. And with this Google has managed to overtake Technorati.

Technorati Chief Executive David Sifry spoke on this impressive Google performance: “We have enormous respect for the guys at Google. It just shows you how much power Google wields; all they have to do is turn on a link like that.”
