OpenDNS sets up operations in London
First, what is OpenDNS?
OpenDNS is a free DNS resolution service. It was launched in July 2006 to make the Internet experience safer, faster and smarter for web users.
The service is now online and operational from the company’s new setup in London. This would help web users based in Europe to get better pings to the OpenDNS service.
OpenDNS has already served more than 35,333,663,960 requests from around the world and is used all the time by TechWhack editors. The DNS servers provided by Indian ISPs have been very unreliable for us and OpenDNS comes to the rescue whenever we move sites from one server to another.
The service is free and requires no installation on the user’s machine. All one has to do is change or add on their DNS servers which are:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
