Intertainer sues Apple, Google and Napster for patent infringement
Online movie distributor Intertainer Inc. has filed a lawsuit against three major rivals Apple Computer, Google and Napster. They are accusing these three companies of infringing a patent on a way to distribute digital entertainment over the Internet.
Intertainer is claiming that these three companies are using the patented technology without their permission to sell digital media over the internet.
They are further claiming that this has resulted in irreparable harm. They are demanding cash compensation and an order to prevent the companies from using its technology.
Intertainer interestingly has investors including Microsoft and Intel. None of the three companies have commented on this latest lawsuit.
