Google enhances their enterprise search solutions
Search engine giant Google has announced that they are going to add two new search features in their Enterprise Search Appliance by the end of the month.
One of these features is Result Hit Clustering feature. This capability clusters or categorizes search result by type of information.
Matthew Glotzbach, head of product for Google enterprise spoke about this feature addition: “The algorithms we have will come up with these categories and give them a label.”
The second feature addition is Source Biasing. This would enable the administrators of the search system to provide weighting or bias toward results from a specific part of the network.
Google added that this update would also include the previously announced improved integration with Google Sitemaps export feature. The company further said that they are working on adding source connectors for indexing content in SharePoint 2007.
