Other World Computing to launch ModBook at the upcoming MacWorld

Apple Computer has not released any tablet computer based on their Mac Platform. However, the Mac fans might have an option with Other World Computing planning to launch a new product named ModBook at the upcoming MacWorld.

This tablet computer would be launched before Apple talks about their new products at the Expo.

ModBook is essentially a MacBook that has been converted into a slate tablet. It is powered by the Mac OS X and allows the users to draw pictures or write text directly on the screen.

The company is using the Apple’s Inkwell technology to allow this interactivity.

The ModBook is also expected to include integrated GPS (global positioning system) technology, a built-in iSight camera, and a CD/DVD drive, according to OWC’s Web page.
