Toshiba to launch a series of 50 inch+ LCD television sets

Japanese tech giant Toshiba has said that they would soon enter the market with their 52-inch and 57-inch liquid crystal display TVs this year.

This would help them get into the market currently dominated by Sharp.

Television makers around the world are increasingly launching products with bigger screens. Sharp has just shown their 100 inch+ LCD television set which they plan to start selling this year.

Toshiba said that their products would feature resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels and they would be available on sale in the US market later this year.
