MotoRizr Z6: Motorola supports Microsoft software with its Linux based mobile phone
Motorola has launched a new mobile phone MotoRizr Z6 with Microsoft Windows Media technologies. The Linux powered mobile phone can sync with Microsoft’s Windows Media Player on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Motorola added in a statement that they have been working with Microsoft to develop this phone. They are also working with the software giant to develop a phone for downloading music over 3G (third generation) networks.
Motorola said that they would be able to provide solutions which would make it possible for their customers to download a song over a mobile phone within 10 seconds.
The Motorola MotoRizr Z6 mobile phone comes loaded with Microsoft Windows Media technologies and users would be able to play songs on it purchased from over 200 music stores worldwide.
The phone supports the EDGE technology and uses RealPlayer to run digital media. Looks like the company has dumped the Apple iTunes mobile application in favor of Microsoft technology. More reasons for Apple to launch their own mobile phone product.
