Yahoo! unveils oneSearch for mobile phones

Internet giants Yahoo! has realized the going mobile is the future as they have developed a new search engine specially optimized for the mobile platform.

The company has gone into deals with several mobile phone makers around the world as they aim to get their services preinstalled on the mobile phone products.

Yahoo! showcased an application suite which the mobile users can download for themselves from the net on their mobile handsets to use their services on the move.

Yahoo! also said that they have developed the oneSearch search engine specifically for the mobile platform. This service gives out instant results to user searches instead of generating a list of results on the regular search engine services.

Yahoo! is now collaborating with Motorola Inc., Nokia, Samsung Electronics Co., and Research In Motion Ltd. to provide their software on their mobile phones.
