Nokia N93i: Nokia launches a mobile phone optimized for bloggers
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has launched a new mobile phone N93i. This phone has been optimized for the blogging generation and is part of their N-Series mobile phones.
The company also launched a wireless Internet tablet with VOIP capabilities at the ongoing CES show in Las Vegas. In addition, Nokia showcased another mobile phone named N76.
The newly launched Nokia N76 mobile phone is a 13.7 millimeter-thick clamshell phone and it comes loaded with media player and a 2 megapixel camera.
The camera on the phone can be operated while the phone is closed using buttons and a screen on the outside.
The phone supports 2GB of expandable memory and is capable of playing songs in AAC or Windows Media formats. Interestingly, it also supports the digital media locked with Microsoft Windows Media DRM.
For the blogging generation, Nokia has launched N93i which comes with a 1G-byte miniSD memory card. It is a video focused mobile phone and can store 45 minutes of DVD-like quality video in MPEG-4 VGA format.
Nokia is shipping a video editing application with this phone to enable the users to modify their creations without requiring a personal computer.
The phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera and can support streaming television broadcasts. Nokia is collaborating with Six Apart Ltd. and the users would be able to upload voice and video to the company’s Vox blogging service using this phone.
