Sling Media to launch applications for the Palm Smartphones
Sling Media Inc. has said that they are soon going to support Palm Smartphone owners. With this, Palm owners would be able to watch television using a set-top box.
Sling would be providing their SlingPlayer Mobile software for the Palm phones and this would let the users watch live and recorded television from their home cable box, satellite receiver or digital video recorder.
This software application is already available on the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system.
The two companies said that they expect to release the Palm OS version for Treo 700p devices sometime in the current quarter.
