Cingular won’t sell the Apple iPhone without a 2 year contract
Apple launched the iPhone on Tuesday with much fanfare. However, some people were disappointed to hear that the company would launch the iPhone in the USA in collaboration with Cingular with a 2 year contract.
Sources said that the Cingular has said that they would not be selling the phone without a contract. The iPhone would indeed require a 2 year long contract.
They also expect the users to sign up for a data plan to use the iPhone’s Internet features. These data plans currently cost between $9.99 a month to $39.99 a month.
However, the good thing is that the Apple iPhone internet related features can be utilized through the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
