Nvidia to make Chipsets for Intel
Intel Corporation signed a cross-licensing agreement with Nvidia Corporation, which allows Nvidia to make and sell chipsets for Intel Processor powered computers. Until now, Nvidia was only allowed to make chipsets for AMD processors. This deal empowers them to target the bigger pie of the billions of dollar worth of chipset industry.
Intel and many small companies from hardware hub Taiwan currently dominate the market, which develops chipsets. The advantage for Nvidia to be in this market is that they can use their expertise in graphic chip designing to make integrated boards which are both cheaper and feature rich with advanced graphic abilities for consumers.
The deal has a capacity to add millions of dollars of added revenues to Nvidia’s bottom-line. And they already have the technical know-how considering they make similar products for Microsoft’s hugely popular Xbox gaming machine. They plan to make the new products available in the market by next year.

Finally!
I thought Intel had completely forgotten that people using their technology liked to game too. I just have to see what companies pick up this technology before I decide to buy it. So if anyone from DFI or ASUS is reading this adopt the chipset please.
Hiya I think this is a positive step forward for Nvidia yes, but it shows up another problem, of that INtel is having troubles keeping up with the ever growing gaming community online. This is the communinty which is prefering to go with the AMD side of processing, and with Intel being considering a processor to use for within windows and browsing net and database work, Nvidia could be in line for loosing more credability over ATI.
I think it’s a step back in Intels race towards doom. Many people have been saying that AMD was growing larger and larger due to the fact that gamers just want something that fit’s their needs. Intel does not look into their direction. Now Nvidia might be able to change this, partially. Only if Nvidia can get enough freedom to utilize the Intel CPU’s it will be a big difference. But if not, the world will continue to use AMD more. I’ll always stick to the fact that gamers and even end-users just don’t want to spend a lot of money for something that has an equivalent that is twice as cheap. If nvidia can make Intel that good that there is no equvalent, then intel will crawl back into position.
I don’t think tat that will happen though.
