Intel likely to setup a new plant in China
Market sources claim that the microprocessor company Intel is likely to setup a new plant in China.
The company could invest big in a new plant where they could manufacture their cutting edge processors. This was revealed by two sources with knowledge of the plan.
The sources claim that the company would make their 65-nanometre multi-core processors at this plant. If this is true, this could become the company’s first plant located in an Asian country manufacturing such advanced processors.
Intel already has invested close to about $1 billion in China to date. They have a test and assembly plants in Shanghai and Chengdu.
This new plant could be worth a couple of billion dollars. Their biggest investment in this market yet.
