Dell sued by customers for defective notebooks

A group of Canadian customers are suing the computer manufacturer Dell. These customers allege that the notebooks they bought from the company were defective.

The lawsuit claims that as many as five laptop models sold by Dell Canada were defective. Interestingly, Dell has already similar lawsuit in the U.S. over one of these five models and is facing similar lawsuits on the other four.

This lawsuit was filed in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. The plaintiffs are claiming that the company was negligent in designing the computers and sold them in the market knowing the problems they had.

The problems in these machines are related to overheating and motherboard failure. The plaintiffs said that the machines developed problems just after the expiration of a one-year warranty.

Dell has refused to comment on this new lawsuit filed against them.
