SCO India to launch Me Inc. Mobility Server in India

Unix developer The SCO Group has announced their plans to enter the Indian market with a joint venture company called Me Inc. India.

They are collaborating with the government of Gujarat to form this venture. This company would bring mobile business technology to the business consumers in the state.

SCO said in a statement that the company Me Inc. India would focus on developing mobile technologies and services to enable businesses take advantage of using wireless devices for their operations.

SCO has not revealed the financial aspects of this agreement with the state government.

Sudobh Rustagi, manager of SCO India spoke on this deal: “In these rural interiors of India where PC and Internet infrastructure is almost non-existent, mobile connectivity represents a necessity rather than a luxury.”

The company would be selling Me Inc. Mobility Server which would enable the corporate sector in the market to connect enterprise applications to mobile devices. They plan to start operating from April this year.
