LG Prada: LG to bring their iPhone challenger to market next month
South Korean tech giant LG Electronics has said that they would be bringing their Prada mobile phone to markets next month.
The LG Prada mobile phone is quite similar to the recently unveiled Apple iPhone and features a button less touch-screen interface.
They have developed this phone in collaboration with the Italian fashion brand Prada. It would go on sale in late February for US$780. It would be made available at mobile phone stores and Prada stores in Britain, France, Germany and Italy.
LG would then launch the Prada phone in the Asian markets in March.
Apple in comparison would be launching their iPhone in June in the US market. The phone would only be available through Cingular Wireless contract. Interestingly, the LG Prada phone also features a 2 mp camera similar to the Apple iPhone.
However, one nice thing about LG’s phone is that it comes with expandable memory. Apple iPhone would only be available in 2 flavors: 4GB and 8GB. LG Prada is around 0.4 millimeters thicker than Apple iPhone.
