Mercedes Benz launches latest C-Class car

German carmaker DaimlerChrysler AG has showcased the latest edition of their entry level luxury compact-car C-Class on Thursday.

The company said that the new model features new styling and enhanced safety features.

This is the fourth generation of the C-Class model from the company. Dieter Zetsche, CEO of DaimlerChrysler and head of the Mercedes Car Group spoke about this new model: “With the new C-Class, we are yet again raising the bar in this important segment of the market.”

This latest series update feature four and six cylinder engines. The car would be available in both petrol and diesel versions. Mercedes is also introducing new security features including adaptive braking system, improved controls, pronounced instrumentation, and automatic lighting on this updated version.

Mercedes Benz added that this series would now come in two different designs for the faces. One of them would feature the classic look, with the three-pointer Mercedes-Benz star placed atop the engine hood. Another version would feature the famous trademark on the radiator grille.
