Cingular Wireless LLC posts impressive results

Cingular Wireless LLC is the largest mobile service provider in the United States. The company has come out with their fourth-quarter revenue report and they have posted profits which have nearly quadrupled.

Cingular gained from impressive customer growth during the holidays. The company reported that they earned $782 million during the fourth quarter. The revenues were up at $9.8 billion.

Cingular has already been renamed under the under the AT&T Inc. and from now on, they would report earnings as part of the parent company.

The company gained 2.4 million new customers during the recent holiday season. They now have more than 60 million customers in the US market.

Stan Sigman, the company’s president and CEO said in a statement: “We’ve made significant improvements in the last two years. We started with a great plan and we’ve executed flawlessly.”

The company is also likely to be a big gainer in the coming quarters as they have exclusive rights to sell Apple iPhone in the US market with a mobile contract of 2 years.
