Broadcom launches BCM2047 and BCM2044 chips for Bluetooth devices
Chip manufacturer Broadcom has launched two new Bluetooth chipsets and software which they claim could result in improvement of sound on Bluetooth devices.
The company further claims that these new chips can also lead to reduction in size of the headsets while consuming less battery power.
These new chips have been named BCM2047 and BCM2044. Broadcom said that these chips can better resist interference from other devices and blocking by the human body that result in degraded radio performance.
The Broadcom BCM2047 chip comes loaded with an ARM AudioDE data engine. This engine is a high-performance digital signal processor optimized for Broadcom’s new SmartAudio software. The other chip has been designed for low-cost headsets.
