Google Indexed Password Protected Images?

So says a California-based pornographer who is suing Google Inc. for giving illegal access to his website’s content. The company Perfect 10 claims Google searches reveals free usernames and passwords to access their servers.

Perfect 10 president Norm Zada told Reuters: “They’re showing pictures from my magazine and my website for free, so there’s no reason for anyone to buy my products”. They also said that Google indexed images owned by them, which are not freely available, on other websites.

They claimed that they send repeated mails to Google asking them to remove the offending items from their servers but got no appropriate response. The amount for which Google has been sued has not been disclosed. Google is yet to comment on the issue…

Looks like Google Spiders has become too powerful in their indexing capabilities. But this news only goes on to prove that keeping content protected online is not an easy task.
