China to launch a Probe to the Moon
The Chinese government has announced at a forum on the outer space that it will launch its probe Change One to the Moon.
The aim is to collect information for a possible future landing on the Moon’s surface.
Ouyang Ziyuang, head of the research project added that this probe would circle the Earth and the Moon trice. After that it would stabilize at the scheduled orbit.
The engineers working on the project would have 35 minutes every month to accomplish stabilization. After that they would start exploring its floor and surrounding space three weeks later.
In the second phase of the operation they would try to place on the Moon surface a vehicle to collect information. After that they would aim to land a probe that must return to the Earth later on.
