Honda likely to show a hybrid sports car at Geneva Motor Show
Japanese automaker Honda is likely to showcase a hybrid sports car designed by Honda R&D Europe at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The company is also planning to increase by three times the supply of Civic Hybrids to the UK market. Honda is aiming to sell 3,000 units of this car this year.
Honda’s fully-functional Honda FCX Concept fuel cell car is also likely to be on display at this upcoming motor show in Europe.
Company claims that this model has a range of 354 miles and a top speed limited to 100mph. Honda is planning to market this new fuel cell vehicle based on the FCX Concept model in Japan and the US sometime next year.
Honda is also likely to showcase its U.S. EPA Tier II/Bin 5-compliant diesel engine at the upcoming motor show in Geneva. This engine uses an innovative catalytic converter rather than Selective Catalytic Conversion (SCR) systems using urea injection to reduce NOx emissions.
