Sony Ericsson due to launch eight new mobile phones

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has said that they are soon going to launch a series of new mobile phone products in the market.

The company is due to launch as many as eight new phones.

Four of these eight new models would be for the budget segment and the company is also likely to launch two new Walkman music phones and two CyberShot camera phones.

This should further strengthen their attack on the Nokia’s N-Series of mobile phones. Sony is becoming a stronger player in the mobile phone market which is seeing a new player entering in the form of Apple. Apple is due to launch their iPhone in June this year.

It would be interesting to see how iPhone would compete with the higher end Sony Walkman mobile phone models. Apple however is not going to challenge Sony CyberShot mobile phones considering the iPhone only has a 2 megapixel camera.
