Boeing on track to deliver their 787 plane in late 2008
US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing has said that they are on track to start delivering their 787 plane by late next year.
The company added that they expect 2007 to be good for business and they expect to get a lot of new orders from airline companies around the world.
Randy Baseler, Boeing’s Vice President of Marketing said in a statement: “The 787 is on schedule for its roll-out mid-summer (northern hemisphere) with first flight in late summer and delivery in the latter part of 2008. We still think it will be a good, solid year, it won’t be a record year.”
Boeing has also raised its profit forecasts for this year and reassured investors that the 787, set to roll out next year, is still on schedule.
They are aiming to deliver 440 to 445 airplanes in the current year to their customers. Deliveries are expected to improve next year to around 515 to 520 planes.
