Vodafone latest to support eBay on mobile
UK based telecom giant Vodafone has said that they are now becoming the latest operator to offer online auction site eBay on mobile phones.
The company would be offering a specially designed eBay interface for their customers in Italy. This would later be expanded to their other markets.
This news comes just a day after Vodafone announced their decision to offer MySpace.com services to their mobile users.
All these value added services are being offered to expand the revenue generation sources from provided mobile services.
Increasing competition has resulted in a situation that mobile service providers around the world are finding it hard to sustain on just telephony related services.
Vodafone is not alone; Hutchison Whampoa owned 3 began offering eBay as part of its X-series package last year.
