Samsung F700: Another Apple iPhone challenger

Samsung has been one of the most innovative mobile phone companies in the market. With Apple entering this segment, they are working extra hard to make sure that they have enough products in the market capable of taking on the iPhone which it arrives in June this year.

The company has now showcased their F700 mobile phone which features a touch screen display. This feature is increasingly becoming hot ever since Apple showcased their iPhone.

LG already has showcased their K850 Prada phone which features a similar touchscreen.

Samsung F700 is the only one amongst these products to feature compatibility with 3G (third generation) WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) in addition to conventional GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks.

The phone can also work on the HSDPA and EDGE data transmission systems.

Impressively, the phone features a 5 megapixel camera which makes it much more powerful than the Apple iPhone with a 2 megapixel camera.

It supports a variety of multimedia formats including MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and Real Video along with MP3, AACplus, eAACplus and Real audio formats.

Another innovative feature on this phone is the included QWERTY keyboard on the lower-half of the phone which slides out. Apple iPhone in comparison features only an onscreen keyboard.
