Apple iPhone challenger: Neonode to launch its own touch screen handset

Neonode, a Swedish mobile phone developer is likely to add another rival mobile phone product to take on the upcoming iPhone mobile phone from Apple Inc.

The company said in a statement: “Apple’s iPhone and several other manufacturers can see the benefits of the concept and are now following the lead set by Neonode.”

Daniel Stalbo, Neonode’s marketing director added that they would be launching a whole new phone at the 3GSM World Congress.

The company has been launching several button-less touch screen phones in past years. Some of these models are Neonode N1 and Neonode N1m.

Tommy Hallberg, CEO of Neonode AB added in a statement: “We will be exhibiting a strong product which shows that one does not need to be the biggest to be at the forefront of development.”
