Java Flaw affects Browsers
Java is supported by almost all the browsers in the market. And a latest security flaw found in earlier versions of Java Releases have put browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox and even Opera users to risk.
This flaw can lead to malicious applets escaping the safe confines of a sandbox and damage vulnerable systems. Java Runtime 1.4.2_05 and older versions are affected by this flaw. And as per Finnish security researcher Jouko Pynnonen, even Linux users are not safe.
Sun already have a fixed version available from their website downloadable here. So, any users with Java installed are advised to upgrade their versions. These vulnerabilities are exploited by malicious websites to cause damage to the user’s computers.
More information about this flaw can be found here.
