200cc Pulsar DTS-I launched by Bajaj Auto
Indian two wheeler giant Bajaj Auto has launched their 200 cc Pulsar DTS-I model in the market. The company already has two models of Pulsar in India (150cc and 180cc).
The company added that they expect to have a turnover of Rs 10,000 crore in the current financial year. This would be an improvement of around 25% compared to previous year.
Bajaj Auto managing director Rajeev Bajaj said in a statement: “We expect the net profit to increase by 10 to 15 per cent this year.”
Bajaj’s new Pulsar 200 has been priced at Rs 65,497 (ex-showroom Delhi). They are also hoping to sell 50,000 units of Pulsar per month from June. They plan to have four different models of Pulsar in the market by then in 150cc, 180cc, 200cc, and 220cc engine capacities.
They also aim to unveil their new bike platform in July-September this year. They have already announced their plans to exit the lagging 100cc bike category currently dominated by Hero Honda.
Bajaj said on these plans: “We are confident that the majority of 100 cc buyers would shift to the new segment within a year. The 100 cc market will come down from 61 per cent to 20 per cent.”
