T-Mobile International to launch new services including push e-mail
T-Mobile International has already announced their plans to launch push email service for their customers. The company now plans to extend the offering to the consumer market and also make available some new community based services.
T-Mobile International CEO Hamid Akhavan recently announced: “We plan a new service that will push e-mail to consumers; this could become a very huge market.”
They have also launched their myFaves service in the US market. Consumers can establish a community of up to five people on this service to get discounted rates for voice calls, text messages and other services.
Akhavan added: “It’s still early days for social networking services over mobile networks but they will drive growth. I believe the mobile Internet will have a bigger impact than the Internet itself.”
They are also working on launching devices powered with Windows Mobile 6 platform. The company plans to offer upgrades for owners of older devices if Microsoft provides such a service.
