Moto Rizr Z8: Motorola launches a Symbian powered mobile phone
US based mobile phone maker Motorola has launched their new mobile phone Moto Rizr Z8. This phone features a new phone design, which slides open and bends. This brings the microphone closer to the user’s mouth.
This phone has been launched at the ongoing 3GSM wireless trade show in Barcelona. It is powered by the Symbian operating system and is popular on Nokia models.
This product launches at a time when Motorola is facing serious competition in the market and is under pressure from investors to launch some exciting products to enhance sales.
The market was however disappointed after learning that the phone would be available in retail market by April this year.
Oppenheimer analyst Lawrence Harris spoke about Motorola: “While these phones will certainly help … results beginning in the second quarter and in the second half of the year, the results for the first quarter will be determined by what’s out there in the market place right now.”
Motorola on their part said that this phone will also support television-quality video play back and has a slot for a memory card with up to 4 gigabytes of storage space.
