q9: Motorola to launch new Q models in UK
Motorola has revealed that they would soon be launching two new versions of Motorola’s Q smart phone in Britain.
This would be their attempt to gain some corporate customers in this market.
Motorola launched the first Q device in the US for CDMA networks. The new Q for the European market would be based on GSM and HSDPA technology.
The two models are a high speed model named q9 and another 2G enabled model. They are planning to launch these new devices by the next quarter.
Interestingly, both of these new phones would be powered by the recently unveiled Microsoft’s mobile software, Windows Mobile 6.
One of these models would feature a thumbwheel. Both the models would have a full QWERTY keyboard. Both devices would support the Motorola’s own Good offering and other third-party software.
