Apple can call their mobile phone iPhone
Cisco Systems Inc. and Apple Inc. have together issued a statement saying they have settled the trademark-infringement lawsuit related to the upcoming mobile phone product from Apple named iPhone.
The two companies confirmed that they have reached an agreement that will allow Apple to use the iPhone name for their mobile phone product.
In exchange, Apple would explore wide-ranging “interoperability” between their products with Cisco’s products in the areas of security, consumer and business communications.
The two companies did not reveal much on this agreement. Apple and Cisco added that they would dismiss any pending legal actions regarding the trademark.
