Canon announces EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR

Canon is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its top-selling EOS single lens reflex camera system and they have now announced the world’s fastest digital SLR camera: EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR.

The company claims that this camera can take images at 10 frames per second. It is a 10.1 megapixel camera which can fire huge motor-driven bursts of 110 Large JPEGs or 30 RAW files.

It comes powered by the new Dual DIGIC III image processor engine which provides it the computational horsepower to do parallel processing at a rate which cannot be achieved by any other camera currently available in the market.

The company further claims that the camera comes with the all-new 10.1 megapixel, APS-H size CMOS sensor which is the most light-sensitive and innovative sensor they have developed till now.

The company is due to display and demonstrate the EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR and its new accessories at the PMA trade show in Las Vegas.
